Wizard of Oz


As a pre-reading activity to the play scripts on The Wizard of Oz, all P5 pupils gathered in the library for a mass viewing of the classic movie.

Post-viewing activities:
1) Name the main characters in the movie/novel/play Wizard of Oz.
2) Who is your favourite character(s) and why?
3) State what each main character ask for from the Great Oz.
4) If you were to meet the Great Oz, what would you ask for? Why?

    Answers:
    1)Dorothy,Tin Man,Lion,Scarecrow,Good witch of the north,Wizard of OZ,Wicked Witch of the West
    2)Tin Man as he is made up of steel.
    3)Lion=Courage,Scarecrow= Brains,Tin Woodman=Heart and Dorothy ask to go back home in Kansas
    4)If I meet the Wizard of OZ, I will ask for the cleverest brain so I can become 1st in every level and class position.
